Pollinators are all the Buzzzz!!
Dr. David Held, Auburn University, Walt Osborne with Syngenta’s Operation Pollinator and Dr. Geoff Williams who researchs honey bee colony health at Auburn will present on Pollinators, Beekeeping, and BMP for pollinator protection on golf courses. Attendees Attendees will learn the basics of pollinator biology and ecology. The Best Management Practices for protecting pollinators in managed turfgrass will be presented and discussed. The program will also discuss the key decisions that should be made when establishing and maintaining forage plots for pollinators on golf courses. Beekeepers will discuss the considerations for keeping honey bees and ways to foster native bees on golf courses.
